The Philadelphia Eagles have released cornerback Daryl Worley Cheap Marshall Newhouse Jersey , hours after he was arrested.
NFL Network reported that Worley was arrested Sunday morning near the team's practice facility and that police used a Taser on him after he became combative. The report also said a gun was found in Worley's vehicle.
The team first issued a statement that it was investigating Worley's arrest and later announced he was cut.
The Super Bowl champions traded wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers for Worley in March. They also acquired defensive end Michael Bennett in a trade with Seattle. Bennett was arrested last month on a charge that he injured a paraplegic woman as he tried to get onto the field after last year's Super Bowl to celebrate with his brother.
Worley, a third-round pick in 2016 Luis Gonzalez Jersey , started 25 games in the past two seasons for the Panthers.
The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent cornerback Senquez Golson and defensive end Armonty Bryant.
The team announced the moves Friday to add defensive depth.
Golson was originally a second-round pick out of Mississippi by Pittsburgh in 2015. He spent his first two seasons on injured reserve with shoulder and foot injuries. Golson spent time last year on Tampa Bay’s practice squad.
Bryant was originally a seventh-round pick by Cleveland in 2013. He has played 36 games with the Browns and Detroit, totaling 44 tackles Matt Kemp Jersey , 11 1/2 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Bryant didn’t play last season Matt Adams Jersey , getting released by the Lions after a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
