Since RuneScape is indeed vast into the amount of things you can do its better to create goals so that way you do not feel overwhelmed rather thing. For example ill specify a quest goal for myself because they can unlock very cool things, but I really don't like quest all the much. So its more of a"allow me to focus on this bit for some time and I'll get back to another thing after". It really just let's you choose RuneScape game in 1 piece at a time )

There are daily challenges and items you can do that reset at midnight UTC (Greenwich time) OR you can make goals for yourself that you are able to knock out. You may earn large or smallish goals or do whatever you desire. By way of instance there could be a pursuit you really wish to complete because the rewards are so amazing or you like the narrative. So as to perform the pursuit though you will need to level up specific skills. RuneScape game won't reward you for leveling up every skill per se BUT you will be satisfied in the end when you can finish the quest. Just remember to maintain some aims reasonable so you don't burn out because there's A LOT of things to do.
