The free-to-play action role-playing game Path of Exile has released a free extension that provides a way to farm monsters next to POE Currency and new POE Items.

The expansion of the harvest introduces "Holy Grove", an ancient garden where players can plant plants that can generate monsters to kill enemies. Players can find these plant seeds anywhere in the world, but some seeds are rare and require more careful planting to produce more powerful or legendary monsters.

Defeat the harvested monsters and reward them with crafting options and the "vitality" required to craft them. There are even pipes, condensers and diffusers that are necessary to help grow more exotic seeds.

Harvest expansion improves the passive skill tree by improving some mechanisms (such as two-handed weapons) and completely adding new passive skills. The expansion also added eight new skills, two auxiliary POE Orbs and 12 unique POE Items, while rebalancing 50 existing POE Items.

The extended version is free for all Path of Exile players, but there are multiple Harvest support packages, including premium POE Currency, in-game items, and digital soundtracks, priced at $30 or $60, respectively.

The Harvest extension is now available on PC and will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms on June 24 (Wednesday).
