ACEM Students Made New Achievements at CFA Challenge

On January 6th 2019, the ACEM student team was proud to be a three-time winner at the CFA Institute Research Challenge Shanghai Final. CFA Institute is a global association that brings together investment professionals, and the CFA credentials are considered the most valuable certificate in the investment community. As a full-English analytical research competition for global financial students, the CFA Institute Research Challenge invites the world’s top universities each year. The invited teams need to carry out research and analysis on a listed company to demonstrate their ability in report writing and presentation. The Asia Pacific winner will participate in the Global Final.
This year marks the 13th competition held by CFA in Shanghai, China. The participating teams included SJTU (two teams from ACEM and SAIF), Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Tongji University, CEIBS, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and University of Nottingham Ningbo. The teachers and students of our Finance Department attached great importance to the competition. After receiving the invitation from the organizing committee, Professor Wu Wenfeng, the department head, organized an interview to select the participating students, and formed a team of five senior students and an academic advisor who is associate professor Tang Zongming.
