WoW Classic Guild Does Something No Group Has Ever Done In Either Version

A guild in Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft Classic has beaten one of the game's iconic raid bosses in the hardest way they could, a feat which was previously thought to be all but impossible. The release of World of Warcraft Classic, a supremely faithful recreation of the original 2006 version of the genre-defining MMORPG, meant the return of many classic adventures to play through and raids to embark on, but players are still finding new ways to dominate the game's many challenges. To get more news about fast wow gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

Since the release of Classic back in late August of last year, players have been scrambling to reach big milestones, such as defeating the game's raids or reaching the level cap of 60. They've been finding new exploits that make use of the changes Blizzard made to World of Warcraft in order to handle the increased server load, and they've been refining character builds based on over a decade of experience with the game as it has evolved, so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that an intrepid handful of high level players took down a raid boss on what is essentially its highest possible difficulty.
According to Starym on the Icy Veins forum, the guild BLaDE of KiLL completed this "World First" feat by defeating the raid boss Hakkar the Soulflayer without first defeating any of its five high priest bosses earlier in the raid. Each of the five priests, if left alive, gives Hakkar a powerful extra ability or buff, and all five together has spelled doom for any challengers until now. Because they skipped most of the raid's content, the entire run took only about 8 minutes, with the fight against Hakkar himself clocking in under a minute and a half. Check out the video below:

Of course, to take on a challenge so long undefeated the players of BLaDE of KiLL needed to come absolutely prepared. Their raid group consisted of more than half warriors, designed to draw aggro and tank the tons of damage Hakkar puts out, as well as a smattering of other classes maximizing their own damage and kill the boss as quickly as possible, before its damage truly could go completely out of control. This was no easy task, but as Starym points out the entire World of Warcraft Classic guild came prepared with high levels and some of the best equipment in the game, as well as a wealth of experience from years and years playing the original World of Worcraft and its expansions.

World of Warcraft Classic, with its emphasis on being a perfect recreation of the original WoW experience, blemishes and all, has served as an interesting time capsule into the game's own past and the past of MMORPGs in general. A mix of nostalgia and the strength of the original has shown that it still holds up on its own after all these years of change, and that players will still be trying to prove themselves in ever-more-challenging ways. It's good to know that even as many things in our own world continue to change, World of Warcraft Classic and the persistence of players to do cool new things in their favorite games will stay the same.
