When will be scheduled to take place the next Double XP event in RuneScape?
We witnessed our first Double XP event of 2021 after the previous one was over in November. The last couple of years, there have been no more than four events a year. This is for obvious reasons. They have to be major events!
If we were to look ahead to the next one, we guessed we would expect it to happen in February and this turned out to be true. . As far as 2014, there's been a double or bonus XP event at this time. With the way the past events have worked it is unlikely to see any more changes, as Jagex seems to have perfected the process.
Players are given 48 hours of DoubleXP time to make use of over approximately 10 days. There was an exception where the event lasted 21 days, but the 10-day events tend to attract large numbers of players due to their limited scope.
If you're not in the know, RuneScape is a big deal. A darned big deal. At least to those in the MMORPG world. As it enters its 21st anniversary it's among the biggest MMORPGs and most likely the most popular free one. The game's theme is high fantasy and has a strong medieval tinge running through it . A combination that is extremely well-done; just ask J.K. Rowling.
RuneScape is very significant to me personally for three teeny-tiny reasons: being the first MMORPG I ever played; the first game I could be described as addicted to; and it was the first game that can be described as "online" although it's far from being the most popular. It's still three milestones in gaming that shouldn't be ignored.
After a brief, basic instruction on the appropriately called Tutorial Island, I found myself dumped in the uneventful but rather enjoyable town of the river of Lumbridge. It is where each new player learns the basics of mechanics, for example, how to create fire or put money in the bank. It's important to know that, in RuneScape every player starts with a level playing field (weirdly, at level 3).
There's no predetermined classes or structured builds or classes, just skills, with the end goal of being able to reach the maximum of 99. Since that's neither practical nor perhaps desirable for most of us It's best to focus on just a few. In addition, the overall range of the character or combat level is the limit to 130 (or the number 123 for RuneScape Classic). I believe I got to 82 before I decided to quit. Maybe school started up again.
There are five different attack types that you can master: stabbing, slash, crush, magic and ranged. At first, my naive prey consisted of goblins as well as chicks. But there's plenty of larger and more dangerous prey available. Predators, too. It's true that RuneScape has a steep learning curve at the beginning with Buy RuneScape Gold. Once I got those base abilities mastered, I was ready to done and I began to find it difficult to get away from the computer screen.
