As Joystiq notes, these were a final three extant Playfish titles; any game from its website has either been banned already or possibly is scheduled to get closed. The lone exception is Madden NFL Social, an iOS and Madden NFL Mobile Coins Facebook title which was developed at EA Tiburon, the studio that helps make the traditional Madden console games.
EA said it intentions to continue to formulate and release Facebook games, "most notably games from PopCap" like Bejeweled Blitz, Solitaire Blitz and Plants vs. Zombies Adventures. The company added it will be giving players with the aforementioned Playfish titles a "special offer" to transition them into a PopCap Facebook game.
The news follows yesterday's layoffs at EA, that were reportedly centered round the company's Montreal-based Buy Madden NFL Mobile Coins mobile studio. EA suffered another round of layoffs in February, with those cuts limited by company's Los Angeles studio plus the Montreal arm of Visceral Games.
