Bale: Inspiration from old dictionaries for the syndicate in Path of Exile
Inspiration from old dictionaries for the syndicate in Path of Exile
Guff "Winzling" Grenn has made popular with the players of Path of Exile with his bizarre insults and his loose style. Source: .buffed fan favorite Guff, on POE Currency the other hand, has a lot of fun at the syndicate and his lines were a pleasure for Matt Dymerski as well.
Guff's insults come from the "ialect of Craven", a kind of ancient dictionary from the year 1828. From this come bizarre verbal abuse such as "plenary whiffle-whaffle"; in the German version he insults players as "dung-eating boobies".
When he met the spokespersons of the POE Orbs PS4 syndicate members, he was thrilled with how quickly they had internalized their personalities. Kelson Henderson spoke from the first moment exactly as Dymerski Guff had imagined. Victoria Abbott, on the other hand, had surprised him even more: she speaks of the bizarre being "Es, escaped". The narrative designer was dreading the moment when he had to explain this character to someone, but Victoria Abbott did it perfectly.
