A Retro Cool, Country House Wedding

Events Manager married her love, property developer, on 29th June 2019. I love how Emily has captured the fun and colorful vibe of the charming outdoor wedding.

"I had this pink vibe during my head that I desired to create, which was retro and cool, a bit 60's/70's and fun, although not tacky or girly or 'Barbie' – and I think I did it."

"Most brides want the white dress and also the full fitting experience, I am the alternative, and also enjoyed browsing online before buying my dress. I had my budget in your mind and was loving the concept that I would have the ability to buy a very amazing designer dress that I could wear over and over throughout my entire life."

"When I saw the pink Vampires Wife dress online I knew it had been the one, it had been glitzy and delightful, it had ruffles around the sleeves, an attractive hem, it made my boobs look wonderful! It was everything I have ever wanted inside a dress. It arrived a few days later, fit perfectly aside from the length, which would be a very easy tailoring job, and I felt incredibly special inside it."

"The boys all wore white vans, including Mo. Smart's wedding shoes weren't right for this big day. Cufflinks were by and I got pink floral Liberty print ties for that boy produced by the seller."

The bridesmaids wore probably the most sensational pink bridesmaid dresses.

"As I was in pink, I wanted the girls inside a color that didn't crash. Black is my second fave color after pink also it goes well using the bright pink I was wearing. We found these gorgeous dresses on that were so fun, and sexy, they'd ruffles that matched mine and more importantly, girls felt good in them and can be in a position to wear them over and over forever."

"My dad and my dog Izzy walked me on the aisle towards the sound of 'Sea of Love', by Cat Power."

"We met at Plymouth university, we worked together in the Student Union before getting together on my small very last day before leaving Plymouth, Mo still were built with a year to visit before he graduated so there would be a lot of backward and forwards between London and Plymouth which makes it work."

"We got engaged on Seasalter Beach in Kent on the dog walk with Izzy your dog, engaged for 2 years before we've got wed."

"For the large wedding meal, we chose from the menu. It was feasting, banquet style, set up in the center of the tables. For the starter, we wanted charcuterie and bread with oils and butter (whipped marmite butter anyone?!) But Mo and I come with an allotment, therefore we wanted to bring that a part of our lives towards the table too, Rusty Pig dressed around all of the gorgeous flowers with allotment veg that they'd sourced locally for all of us."

"We were built with a cake table filled with different cakes. My mum made about twelve cakes and lots of brownies, my close friend's mum made delicious Chocolate Guinness cakes, and my pal Ffion from wales made about 100 of her incredible welsh cakes."

"We chose not to possess a wedding cake as we desired to have a variety of cakes people could select from. This was an idea we stole from several of our friends who did the same at their weddings."

"I got among my friends, who's a part-time DJ, to DJ for all of us. I'm not massively into live wedding bands, I just wanted the party to instantly start with these favorite tunes and I knew Joe was the guy to complete that. He started by having an hour of 90's early noughties Garage, and then it had been just tune after tune thereafter. Our wedding wasn't huge, about 65 people, but I'd say many of them were on that dancefloor through the night."

"Our first dance was 'Ain't Nobody', by Chaka Khan. It's an enjoyable song, it reminds us of the holiday we continued, we didn’t perform a first dance routine, or perhaps a formal dance, I was pretty drunk at that time and was slut dropping and winding and grinding, Mo just had to visit along by using it."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Until you're doing so, you simply can't observe how much small detail is required, and just how much of the lag it's on your brain, particularly in those previous couple of weeks and particularly if you’re working right up towards the day. Support your pals who are married as much as possible!"

"Also, I wouldn't have been concerned about the weather in the lead-up to it. I drove myself mad looking whatsoever the different weather reports which exist. It was all completely pointless, even when it did rain, still, it would have been an incredible day."

A Romantic & Flower Filled Wedding

Let's meet our couple, Emily is an Advertising Account Director, and Jonny is an Accountant to have an online retailer.

This lovely pair married around 8 June 2019 inside a church ceremony within the spectacular medieval, then a beautiful marquee reception. Let's set the scene having a film by, shall we?

I love the fresh, modern type of Emily’s dress, using its racer-style neckline, and gorgeous floral lace back and train.

"I thought it was quite difficult to locate a dress that I was comfortable in, that reflected my style and also the style in our wedding. I wanted to make sure my dress was respectful and stylish yet relaxed and comfy. My usual style is very simple without any fuss, so I knew I didn't want an excessive amount of detail around the front of my dress."

"I loved everything about my chosen dress, in the racer neckline and straightforward front towards the floral back and matching train. The seamstress did an amazing job in ensuring it fits perfectly so I felt comfortable without compromising the feel of the A-line skirt. I loved the way it made me seem to like me, but a far more beautiful version of me!"

"I did wear a veil – from. It was the thing I'd been certain of from the first day. I'd always wanted an extended, plain veil as I imagine they look so beautiful when walking on the aisle."

The bridesmaids looked beautiful in long dusty blue bridesmaid dresses, that they wore using their shoes and accessories.

"We wanted the color palette for the wedding to reflect Brinkburn itself with simple but beautiful tones. Our flowers were very natural and rustic with a lot of foliage throughout, creating an effortlessly elegant vibe."

"We met within our final year of Newcastle University. We were set up by a mutual friend. Jonny made the initial step by adding me on Facebook, and we first came face to face within the uni library."

"Eight years later, I was away on a short break to Barcelona. Jonny had planned the proposal, coupled with choosing a diamond ring but unfortunately, there would be a mix-up, which resulted in it didn't get delivered in time for that trip away. Eventually, he stumped for any Peppa Pig ring to propose with."

"On our second evening in Barcelona, he proposed within the hotel room before we went for dinner to celebrate. The ring arrived the day after we got home! We got engaged on 7th May 2018, and viewed Brinkburn on 8th June 2018, after which got married exactly twelve months later. "

After the ceremony, drinks were enjoyed outside, together with more live music from Didsbury String Quartet.

Jonny looked smart inside a blue checked suit, that they paired having a bespoke grey waistcoat and classic monk strap shoes.

"Emily bought me a new watch for that big day, that was engraved with these initials and the date for the wedding."

"Finding a band was pretty tricky. As we don't live within the area, we couldn't use whatever live bands, so spent a little bit of time trawling promo videos of numerous ones. In the end, I was sold around the whole package that was provided."

"They have great singers backed up with a proper band. We knew we wanted a jazz-style band to experience, plus they gave us exactly what we should want. Our first dance ended up being to Al Green – Let's Stay Together. We both love the song and also the fact that the very first line is 'I'm so deeply in love with you. "

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Go together with your gut! Don't spend hours trawling through options should you don't have to. Stick to your vision."

"One major suggestion would be don't sweat the little stuff. You won't even notice small information on your day, you'll just notice all of your loved ones being there to celebrate you."

A Classy, Elegant Autumn Wedding

James and Lauren will celebrate their first anniversary tomorrow, and I hope this article lifts their spirits too.

The bride wore a set of heels but asserted on your day, it had been so wet and muddy, she spent the majority of her amount of time in her!

"My wedding gown was bespoke, created by FeelTimes. Later in reception, I turned into a lovely party dress."

"I wanted to locate a dress which was very simple and clean, and thinking with the clothes I love to wear, FelTimes just made a lot of sense. Their bespoke process would be a dream."

"James and I met soon after I had gone to live in London for operating in 2014. A few weeks after I arrived, we been seated near one another on a Saturday particular date with friends, and chatted over champagne and hotdogs at Bubbledogs in Fitzrovia."

"After a little bit of persistence on James' part, we continued their first date fourteen days later."

"Fast forward 5 years and James proposed in your own home at our Chelsea flat on Christmas Eve 2019. He had been planning months – I however was completely surprised."

"He had sourced diamond jewelry earlier within the year during New York on business and caused Rachel Boston in London to create the ring."

"As an area of the hire from the venue, Wilderness provided us with the utilization of their vintage Morgan for that weekend plus a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce to consider me and my father towards the church." Go

"James and I decided to depart the church within the Morgan. The guests were transported from Wilderness and also the additional hotels to/ in the church in vintage buses."

"We knew we desired to get married within the UK, and thus started planning for a marriage later within the year (that didn't conflict w some of James' shooting days!)."

Lauren's sister discovered the pink bridesmaid dresses by FeelTimes.

"James' trousers are his family tweed (his dad wore his matching ones). His evening black tie was from there too. His tie was from Beretta – he and also the groomsmen all wore different shooting ties. James wore his grandfather's pocket watch too."

James and Lauren agreed they wanted a traditional English wedding as far because of the church and day, after which took a much more American twist using their black-tie evening.

The couple hired a society wedding photographer, whose work and photographic aesthetic I am a huge personal fan of.

"Gary and also the team at were wonderful. It was funny when I was looking for any videographer when I floated his name around to my girlfriends a number of them had used him too – with all of them I hadn't even noticed there is someone taking video at their wedding."

"The finished product was stunning plus they did a better job than I thought possible at capturing the atmosphere and moments from the day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"I would say to attempt to not need too many cooks within the kitchen. Find several vendors whom you really trust and therefore are excited to partner with, along with a friend or two in which you really respect their taste and judgment, and then leave it at this."

A FeelTimes Bride & Her 15 People Micro Wedding

Lucy, an Access Manager, married Social Worker Tom on Saturday 3rd October 2020. Our gorgeously talented Little Book member, took these photographs, which for me, really capture the spirit of 2020.

Lucy wore the gorgeous dress, by a designer, who she discovered at feeltimes.com.

"Tom and I met at a new year party in 2016. I work for 'Access All Areas' because the Access Manager supports learning disabled and autistic artists. Tom is a social worker, within the adults learning disability team in Hackney, London."

"Tom proposed at North Creek Abby in Burnham Market, on 21st September 2019, while I was playing a game title of 40/40."

"My sister and father accompanied me within the wedding car, after which both accompanied me on the aisle – my dad by my side and my sister following behind me."

Tom looked fabulous inside a suit, that they accompanied having a pair of boots along with a print tie.

"My aim ended up being to always acquire a boho/classic feel towards the wedding. I always knew when that I didn't want the entire 'bridesmaids look' and I liked the thought of all different dusty blue bridesmaid dresses, with various fabric, styles, and material."

"However, that's a great deal harder compared to what they make it look on Pinterest! So, my buddies and I made grid after grid after grid to make certain the colors and elegance were going to match."

"Our photographer was utterly brilliant. On that day, Georgia felt just like a long-lost friend. She places so much thought, care, and fun into ensuring we got the very best shots during the day."

"Creating beauty doesn't just stop with stuff you can see and touch therefore we discussed developing a signature scent that will accent the big day."

"I created aromatherapy candles using orange blossom with love quotes chosen through the bride and groom as well as for a burst of scent."

"This would be a bridesmaid-friendly, purse-sized room fragrance that may be spritzed discreetly ahead of the bride's arrival in the church and the reception venue to welcome people into the space."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Weddings will always be going to be stressful since they're such special days, filled with emotions. If I would tell any new bride anything, I would say, follow your heart and become confident in your decisions. Also, try not to have any regrets."

A Sweet & Romantic Rainy Day Wedding

Gosh, I love a complete, romantic wedding dress. So, without further ado, let's meet today's couple.

This may be the wedding of architects whose pre-covid church ceremony occurred in Swindon, Dudley by having an industrial-chic reception afterward at, Codsall, Staffordshire. The stark industrial interior was an ideal blank canvas for that couple to place their stamp on, blossoming from the minimal color pattern of navy and grey with light, romantic touches of champagne yellow.

Neither Hannah nor James were interested in having a particular wedding style but chose some key colors to tie the various elements of the day. The overall feel is modern, romantic, and understated.

"We just knew we wanted an easy venue we're able to style ourselves. However, if this came to take a look at details for example bridesmaids' dresses, suits, stationery, and ribbons for that bouquet, it became clear that people would need to a minimum pick a handful of colors to tie the entire wedding together."

"We had read that seeking colors you'd normally wear or used in your home might be a good starting point. This advice resonated around and therefore we chose navy blue bridesmaid dresses and grey as two key colors for the big day."

"My diamond engagement ring, chosen by my hubby, is yellow gold and for that reason, the concept of gold headpieces for myself and also the bridesmaids become an accent color, which then we used through the wedding, including my champagne gold wedding shoes and also the ribbons around the bridal bouquets."

You may also see a touch of champagne gold within the intricate, illusion bodice of Hannah's gown; such a divine, luxe look that is brought directly into the twenty-first century by the über-simple yet dramatic satin skirt.

"I thought about being comfortable but relaxed and wearing an outfit that felt similar in fashion and contour around clothes I wear normally. The Klara wasn't at all what I imagined I would get married to but in the end, I loved the form and everything about this. I loved the current simplicity; long-sleeved and elegant but having a contemporary gold-laced bodice that I loved in the minute I first viewed it."

James and Hannah possess a long history together, meeting on the first trip to Oxford Brookes University in 2007, where they were both studying Architecture.

"We quickly became great friends and finally got together a couple of months later. Ten years later, on his 29th birthday, we went back to Oxford for that weekend. James got recorded on one knee and inquired about marrying him on the beautiful sunny autumn morning within the grounds of Oxford University."

"He proposed by having an incredibly sweet and thoughtful poem he'd written in our journey together to that particular date; referencing our proceed to London, qualifying together as architects as well as including our DIY disasters and our lovely cat Ralph. It was each day we will never forget."

"We were engaged for nearly two years before we tied the knot; relocating towards the Midlands from London, starting new jobs, and buying a complete house renovation project, in addition, to planning the marriage during that time."

"Some would say I was a little crazy, but we still had sufficient time to organize and plan our wedding and I'm really glad now that people took our time for you to enjoy that lovely engaged bubble. I wish we were able to do it all once again!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Our biggest piece of advice is always to trust your instinct and opt for what you both want. You will never please everyone together with your choices so build your own decisions and don't hesitate to do things just a little differently."

A 70's Inspired & Sustainable Wedding

Lily and Jordan tied the knot on 14th July in Norfolk. This beautiful sustainable wedding having a folk festival vibe, was inspired through the and is full towards the brim most abundant in thoughtfully considered DIY and upcycled detail and gorgeous warm and earthy tones.

"Our venue was built with a vintage double-decker bus on-site. We adorned it with streamers and decorations, jars of flowers, and upstairs made a little area for the children to experience, chill, and draw color-making masks. Downstairs we'd a little polaroid camera station set up where you could stick your developed polaroid into our wedding book and then leave us having a message of love!"

"If you're wanting something a little different, something which is filled with flowing silhouettes, bohemian wedding dress style with embroideries and lace that simply shouts modern bride then the is the place to visit."

"I possess a large bum and hips, and also the feeltimes feels as though it is made to work having a women's figure. I just couldn't wait to float about in my dreamy dress and have the way I did wearing her when I married Jordan. I wanted an unusual outfit."

"Our story is very a hopelessly romantic one really; it began in 2013 when Jordan sold a laptop to some sweet little old lady-who so happened to be my Nannie Pam. It works out she visited several computer shops before eventually choosing Jordan, but while he offered to assist turn her a techno-savvy gran and gave her the confidence in making use of this new technology, she opted for him."

"Laptop purchased, Jordan then scheduled an install to assist her to get all set up at her little bungalow. To our luck, plus some would say fate, I been around Nannie's for lunch on that day. Seven years, and 2 beautiful babies later, Jordan inquired about marrying him on Christmas eve 2020."

"Our vows were totally and utterly written from your hearts, and included plenty of nods to mother nature and also the things that people felt were important for the life together as a couple. We included our kids in our vows, making promises for them also. Flo, our six years old daughter read aloud just a little reading she had written herself, and Franco, our three years old sons helped the ring bearer."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't allow the way you appear, or how perfect you need to look around the day overwhelm you can either. True beauty does indeed come from within, so allow it to radiate from you inside your face as well as your smile every time you appear into your partners eyes."

"And finally, your day is your entire day. You must build your wedding about you like a couple. Do your entire day as traditional, religious, or whimsical as you want. Never forget that, and marching, dancing and becoming married towards the beat of the own drum."

WEDDING DRESSES FOR A RECTANGULAR SHAPE

If you've got a boyish rectangular physique where you've got a very straight figure without a prominent bust, waist, and hips you'll be looking for a dress that provides you feminine curves and helps make the most out of that which you have.

Opting to have an A-line can make the most of the bust, pull you in in the waist, and float to a wide skirt. A ball gown can perform the same and extremely wow your audience, along with a sheath gown can provide you with a more relaxed and boho look. You might like to avoid mermaid gowns and incredibly fitted gowns which are better for all those with hips.

Deodato will be a great choice to add some contour around a rectangular body. The soft Mikado skirt puffs to give your frame some shape and presence, whilst the halter necklined lace bodice provides the illusion of curves. You could then add bigger bust cups to add much more of an increase in this area! The sparkle belt draws focus on your waist and completes the appearance. Available in white or ivory. Click

One of our favorites out of this season is Dina, which is made from chiffon, lace, and tulle. The plunging neckline helps you to accentuate the bust and also the long sheer sleeves can hide skinny or muscly, athletic arms. The sheath soft skirt is slight a line wedding dresses that balances the frame - a relaxed search for the understated bride. This gown includes slight beading along with a detachable bodice lining.

For a genuine wow-factor take a look at Domenica our princess ballgown filled with flounced skirt – this really can give volume for your hips minimizing body. The beautifully delicate beaded bodice will truly show off your feminine side and when again larger bust cups could be added as needed. What other day are you able to steal the show with your show-stopping look? This gown is obtainable in ivory/nude, ivory/ivory, or white/white and includes a modesty bodice.

We hope it has given you some pointers when searching for your dream dress. Remember to search for something which pulls in and also the waist and never the hips, mermaids are out, but A-lines, ball gowns, and sheath looks have been in. Good luck during your search for the ideal dress!
