RAM is the last thing that is often forgotten with this subject. With a workstation, RAM is RAM. You're not worried about speed, you just want reliability and the ability to allow your programs to run with little problems. Gaming PCs require fast RAM for ultimate performance. Keep in mind that gaming is designed for a single task where workstation computers can do a dozen or more tasks at a time and this can be an ideal slow day.
