MMOruki: The Issue with mechanic jumping and elitism in RuneScape

The Issue with mechanic jumping and elitism in RuneScape

5 Aug 2020 at 02:46

Quit trying to RuneScape gold pvm with rude men and women. This is not a needed thing at all. Same with gentle strike caps (hello nex) it retains the content harder than an almost equal HP dps chicken (hello vindy) but it isn't a fun mechanic. The bottom line is do not try and pvm with individuals who are dicks. No one ought to be crapping on you on your kill times. That having been said, if very great players are searching for very speedy trio ed runs (since it's the only way not soloing them is well worth it fiscally ) then I don't have any issue with them saying"sorry, we need boss kill times of x, and we're pretty sure you'll slow us down".

That is fine, that is not elitism, that is people that have a lot of practice and would like to do something specific you are not likely to be able to help with. What is elitism is them saying"lol 4:26? Why is it that you even pvm, you need to sell your equipment and go mining" or saying they will take learners and then not taking you as of a slow kill time or anything. That is poisonous behaviour. However, if I've spent doing a boss, possess 800 kill count and that I want fast consistent easy chill kills, why shouldn't I make sure the people I'm going with are the same standard? I'm not signing up for an instruction session, I'm wanting some casual elite dungeons pviming. Worth noting the last piece is really a view point, my verak lith time is just like 20s faster than yours, so I'd imagine we fall in precisely the exact same kind of"lol git gud shitter" to anyone who's that kind of poisonous.

Describe why notthe matter with times phases and hard HP caps is they become really boring as soon as you get to a specific point. This implies for a top tier pvmer they are dull on day one, to a person good they're boring after a few days, and each player finds them boring after a few years of electricity creep. Unless jagex are going to go about and rebalance content all the time (they need to do it more often but realistically they aren't going to) then mechanisms like that are just bad design. Look at rax - to an average player doing old darkness path was horrible, because it was easily over 1/4 of your total kill time spent doing nothing of consequence.

1 rax was balanced. You needed to be great but you'd find the hp down as the net was. Now in 2020, phase one is"stand about and tap boss simulator" that requires nearly double the time the average player would undergo it once they understand the boss. P2 on path 2 is exactly the same, if you know the boss at all you will be stood about on the ramp just chilling avoiding mechanics bored out your own mind. Difficult phase points have capacity to be fun an engaging but they generally don't age well. Time gates are just unfun, and phases that eventually become time gates as electricity creep happens are not fun.

Looks like they're dealing with mechanisms to me. They are picking to tank the strike with harm reducing debil until the egg bombs go off since it is and they're doing every mechanic. It is not as though they are forcing a phase change by blowing off freeing people like AoD or employing familiar that is uncapped damage. If they were doing the 1 mechanic they're opting to have a hit that is barely and it wouldn't be seen by you more than twice in solo most of the time. Would it be elitist of me to refuse to cheap OSRS gold perform competitive modes in some other game, or league, or CS, with somebody multiple positions?
